Be My Guest

So, it’s 10:00pm and I’m in no position to start a quality blog post, nor do I have exciting things like tomatillos to write about. I don’t like to stray from my Sunday-Thursday blogging schedule, however, so I thought I’d pop in quickly to address some random thoughts that haven’t yet found a place in a themed post.

1) I know I haven’t been much of a presence on other people’s blogs lately, though I’ve been reading as much as possible in the few free minutes I have. This is an extremely busy time of year for me at my day job, so I’m just not able to interact in the blog world as much as I’d like, and it’ll probably last through the remainder of the holiday season. For that, I apologize. Which brings me to:

2) On top of being busy at work, I’ll be going overseas on vacation starting Thanksgiving Day. Where am I going? There’s a hint in the dinner I grabbed before an event tonight…

…and if you can correctly identify this veggie/noodle dish by the grainy cell phone picture…good job! <—That was supposed to be a witticism of some sort. Fail.

Which leads me to the inevitable conclusion that:

3) It is in my best interest to put out a call for guest posts to be published during my trip. I haven’t yet decided whether or not to blog on vacation, but I would love to get at least one post of my own up during that time. Just to cover my bases, though, I think it would be awesome to schedule posts written by y’all.

It needn’t be long or heavy; even a favorite food photo could be of interest here! No ideas are off limits. Consider contributing a great recipe, perhaps something holiday appropriate, or even just your favorite kind of clean meal. Perhaps you tried a new veggie this year and might like to tell its story—do you have a seasonal highlight of your own? Also feel free to add to the (lack of) fitness coverage ‘round here. I’ll be recapping the Physique 57 Challenge soon (2 days left!), but that’s all I’ve got on deck on that subject. If all else fails, let me interview you! It’s no sweat for me to email you a quick five questions or so, which I’ll publish with your answers and a link to your blog, if any.

Please email me anything and everything at diana (at) soapandchocolate (dot) com. Hope to hear from you by Sunday evening!

Over and out.

Can't wait to hear about your P57 challenge! I would offer to guest post but I can't even keep up with my own blog these days :(

I would be more than happy to be interviewed in 5 question email format, or any other format LOL

I could try to submit a recipe or something but I am scared b/c your recipes rock and you're like BFF's with Gena and there's the added pressure of that. I say that half joking, half seriously.

Anyway though, I am going to be gone for the holiday season myself, I totally understand about guest posts; I havent even brought it up yet w/ anyone but hey, wanna guest on my blog?

And as for commenting presence, I am starting a new yoga job and bewteen that & the holidays, I totally get it. I think everyone's in the same boat or lying if they say they arent LOL

Oooh I know where you're going ;-)

Can't wait to hear about P57 and I'm totally impressed that you've managed to squeeze it into your schedule given how busy you've been. You rock!

Also, I'd be happy to guest post - I'll shoot you an email with ideas!

Nice! Looks like we'll be seeing some fun guest post action round here soon. Thanks for covering my a$$!

And Averie, please, you are far more prolific in your recipe creation than I am. Don't be scared! Despite the fact that I'm a regular sweets-eater, I think we could stand to see a few more desserts up in here, eh?
