Love Means Chocolate and Giveaways

Before your eyes glaze over at the sight of the sexy chocolate I’m about to throw down up in here, I want to alert you to the giveaway I’m hosting next week! Adjusting to my teaching schedule has taken a toll on my body, most noticeably in my lower back. It aches all day long, while I’m sitting at a desk doing my day job, so I for one am eyeballing some new office furniture, considering how much time I spend in my rolling chair. If you are similarly afflicted, you’ll be glad to learn that CSN has offered up another giveaway opportunity! Check back next weekend to enter for a chance to win a nice chunk of dinero to spend in any of their online stores.

So.

Hi. That’s chocolate. Chocolate that blows my mind. Intemperantia sent me these samples recently, and they are completely divine. Made from “fine imported Swiss chocolate specialties flown in fresh from Switzerland,” these chocolates are certified 100% organic.

004

And what’s more:

  • 100% cocoa butter – no oils.
  • No artificial colors, preservatives or flavoring.
  • Only the top quality cocoa, liquors, nuts and creams are used.
  • Chocolate is maintained at ideal temperatures for optimum freshness.

005

Indeed—my chocolates arrived with a cold pack enclosed! Oh my gosh, they were so good. It was a struggle not to eat them all at once, but when you know you have such precious chocolate in your hands, you also can’t help but want to stretch it out. Oh, the humanity!

But that’s not the only treat that’s arrived lately.

001

I received these free samples of Pure Dark chocolate as part of Foodbuzz’s Tastemaker Program, and they were mighty delicious as well, but in a down and dirty, break ‘em apart with your hands kind of way. I loved gnawing on the plain 70% chocolate slab, but the bark caught my attention as something special.

003

Topped with cherries, roasted almonds and caramelized cacao nibs, it was seriously addictive. I’m not always one for combining fruit with my chocolate (fruit is healthy!), but I couldn’t deny the genius of this combination.

Are you drooling yet? I will leave you to Q-tipping the drool out of your keyboard and simply ask you this: What’s your favorite way to enjoy chocolate? (…or not, if you are so weird inclined.)

Ahh..you've found my kryptonite :) Chocolate, especially dark chocolate! I have a piece every night with my Raspberry Caramel Roobios tea. My favorite so far has been from World Market.

I was SO BUMMED when the Pure Dark store in the West Village closed, because that stuff is AMAZING and they gave you like 10 bucks worth of free samples every time you walked in. It was awesome and now I'm super jealous of your loot!!

The brand Fearless (raw vegan) chocolate is absolutely BOMB. So good. Their exploding coconut or their matcha bars are both delicious.
