The rawful breakfast cookie:
Delicious! I meant rawful in the "Ri rove rou Reorge" a la Astro kind of way. Oh, and also that today's breakfast cookie ingredients happen to be raw. Just thought I'd point it out, as I know that some of us out here in the blogoverse have thought of tinkering with the idea of incorporating more raw foods into our diets.
If only I'd done it intentionally! :)
Here are my accidentally raw ingredients:
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 2 tbsp vanilla spice hemp protein
- 1 tbsp raw crunchy TJ's almond butter
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce (Wait, is that raw? If not, pretend I said pureed apples.)
- 1 tbsp golden raisins
Simply mix, spread, and refrigerate overnight! Best deskfast ever.
Ok, so maybe I fail at raw food-ing, but considering I didn't mean for it to be raw in the first place, it's ok if it's secretly not raw, due to my ignorance of the raw diet and its criteria. I just like the idea of minimally processed, whole foods, as should we all.
The hemp protein made the cookie fuggie fug, as usual, but I still like it!
Score:
Hemp protein: 3; ...not hemp protein: 0

Haha now I'm wondering about applesauce! I'm guessing apples would be raw but not applesauce? Who knows but your cookie looks great!
I'm going to try your version with no extra milk. I really enjoyed mine this morning and hope to make it again in the future :)
That cracks me up about the applesauce! Totally picturing homemade pureed applesauce, haha!
OK, I'll try my hemp protein again. You've inspired me.
PS - Rolled oats aren't raw either. Sorry my friend. They are steamed to get that rolled effect.
Blast! I had a feeling my plan would be foiled. :)
