So there are three locations here in NYC, and the one I've been to these past four times is the one in Queens, actually, but the other two are in lower Manhattan. I hear the 1st Avenue location is a tad preferable to the one near NYU, but I doubt you could go too far wrong.
I did not get my first visit to QL on film because I had no idea what I was in for! The Healthy Vegetarian Curry totally knocked my socks off, though. I loved the lemongrass sauce, and you can't go too far wrong with a big pile of veggies with a protein trifecta of seitan, tofu and soy protein! The salads and whole wheat rolls that come with dinner entrees are fresh and generous, and the miso-tahini dipping sauce for the rolls is a nice change from butter.
For my second visit to QL, however, I was well-prepared. I warmed up at home with some dates and PB...
...then joined the boyfriend (my QL dining companion and new fan of vegetarian food...as long as it's as good as QL) for a spectacular brunch. We both ordered this plate off of their menu of brunch specials:
That's the California burrito, which is a brick of a wrap filled with scrambled eggs, homefries and roasted vegetables. On the side, there were soy breakfast sausages and QL's signature apple compote (holy freaking amazing, Batman). Behold the burrito's contents:
And this is pretty much what QL-induced bliss looks like:
Dreaming of when we could come back, no doubt.
Indeed, it was a mere four days before I returned with the boyfriend for dinner and ordered a platter from the specials menu which contained brown rice-veggie-tofu rolls, vegetarian egg rolls, steamed veggie dumplings, yam tempura and steamed broccoli. Unfortunately, I attacked it with such enthusiasm that it was half gone before I remembered to take a picture. Whoopsie daisy!
And as if that weren't enough, we were back again for brunch the following Sunday. Alex got the vegetable chickpea soup to start...
And a blueberry-banana non-dairy smoothie...
Here ends my documented dining at Quantum Leap...so far! With many menu items left yet to try, there are vast Quantumities to be explored! Yessssssssss...
On a separate note, I have to admit that I feel a little ridiculous today because every time I think of my blog's new look, I get a gooney smile on my face! You would think I had a baby that just took its first step or something. I guess it's the little things in life!

good eats :) this is my first time visiting your page, and i really like your "about me," i've never heard of a flexitarian-- but it sounds great. can't wait to read more!
Looks like a great restaurant! I must try it! Loving the whole wheat tofu roll!!
So jealous when I read about great vegetarian restaurants! Although I do eat meat, I love a good menu heavy on the healthy veggies...not easy to find in Nashville. Let's just say, one of my favorite restaurants is the salad/hot bar at Whole Foods.
Um, Whole Foods totally qualifies. :)
Oh my goodness, such delicious eats! I want those tofu rolls. I have never tried them before!!
Clever writing and great food pics -- must get to NYC to check out this restaurant.
I'll be there this weekend - book us a reservation! ;-) YUM!
