It was a late night at the office tonight, which had me reaching for the quickest, easiest dinner possible when I got home. The resulting delirium (of both work and dinner) has given me some sort of goofy writer’s block, so please content yourself with my hasty poetry/mad rhymes.
In the cupboard, a box of blue.
Not Kraft nor Velveeta nor big brown shoe.
When it comes to mac and cheese,
I will never cheat on Annie’s.
Say what you will about powdered cheese.
I like mine with corn, carrots and peas.
While I used to mix it with milk from a cow,
I became a big hippie—I like hemp now.
Top it with salt, top it with pepper,
But I think I like Vegan Parm a lot better.
Call me a poser, call me a mooch,
All I want is a taste of that nooch.
Now that I have a noodle food baby,
I’ll be able to handle tomorrow…well, maybe.
Like everyone else in this country who’s living,
I just want to get on with Thanksgiving!
FIN.

hehe, you rock :)
I didn't know that the powder in Annie's mac and cheese was vegan! Wow, I will have to some of that. :)

It's not vegan! It's not vegan! Don't eat it! I don't want to be responsible for ruining your eats, haha...
Love the poem! And, love this mac and cheese :) I just bought it in low sodium the other day, which made me very happy. I do what you do and add more veggies to it, perfect!
Have a great Thanksgiving.
FABU poem :) Glad you found some food to keep you going through such a long day. Have a great trip!!
I had Annie's mac and cheese last night too! But I use the Deluxe kind that has sauce in a packet like Velveeta. I had to eat it after Peacefood majorly messed up and decided not to deliver my order.
While I am cutting back on cheese, I'm doing the same thing you did and using up what I have left :)
I love mac and cheese. A few weeks ago, I told The Boy that I didn't care what we had for dinner, all I wanted was some mac and cheese - from a box :-) Love the salty cheesey goodness!
That mac & cheese looks delicious! Yum!
